You could say:

"I am sorry but I am unable to provide you with a quote on this occasion"

You may need to have a reason why but sure you can think of something, like allergic to cats or dogs,  or whatever.

You could always have a 'get out of jail card' such as in a hurry and only have a limited time and may not be able to confirm today.  So you can leave quickly and contact her after the visit with the bad news.

I just feel that every couple of years I need a clear out of some of the winers & find some peeps that are more appreciative of my average cleaning.

I've been trying to get rid of some customer who live about 20 miles from my home, i just can't be bothered to go all that way. by the time i drive there & back i could have done another job. but its hard when they know you and always are so friendly when they call

I had a landlady call me yesterday for a small bar area to be cleaned, to my suprise she already knew the price of the clean £59 as it fell in my min charge.

I said how do you know how much it is going to be? she said that I had cleaned a carpet for her friend about the same size and she would pay the same.

I said is it sticky and black and got chewing gum on it? she said oh yes, she had tried ceaning it a few days earlier but with no success. So I said "I don't want to do it for £59" she says "oh but you did Mrs XXX for that" I said "hers was much easier and cleaner and yours would cost alot more to do"
