I carry 3 and find them invaluble for suite cleaning, how anyone can clean a suite and not use them is incredible to me,

yesturday I cleaned a suite and when I finished it was dry but some areas needed cleaning again. While it was damp I could'nt tell, so if I'd left it damp it would have still been dirty.

this happens a lot which tells me anyone leaving customers with damp suites are leaving suite not totally clean.

so how many do you carry?

I do what you do Mike, I only carry one though, I will be getting another, soon. Blowers are worth their weight in gold as far as upholstery is concerned. Thats my opinion anyway  :) :)

Mike like you I carry 3 and totally endorse your comments on thier use, also good for helping carpets dry on large jobs.

I do hate this coming time of year with them though as the rooms start to get full of xmas cards and decorations

I've been doing it wrong for years. Never bothered with blowers when cleaning and I've mysteriously built a very large repeat, customer base,  from which I have never had a return, or complaint about slow drying.

My drying times, without blowers, are usually 1-2 hours ( touch dry ) which is far better than average and totally dry, with the odd exception, within 3-4 hours.

This has proven completely acceptable to my clients and, indeed, they are often pleasantly surprised at my quick drying times.

Towel testing, gives a pretty accurate indication of the standard of cleanlieness and I don't promise what I can't deliver, although I always tell my clients, to expect, as good as, or better than, the well known franchise operators.

I have two blowers, which are rarely used.

how do you know? do you go back and check.

I'm not talking about someone complaining about slowdrying, I often get customers saying 'will it be dry by tomorrow?' so most people don't expect fast drying, what I'm on about is the fact until is dry you can't really tell if its completely clean.

so who has voted 4!! driers?

im the same as Robbie, i never use driers, dont have call backs, and get repeats.

i recall a topic on this many moons ago, most said they had bought them but never used them, the general feeling was against them, just goes to show it depends who is using this forum at the time, just because all favour them now does not mean there right. that said i think i might give them a go for upholstery this time of year.

does anybody use these fans;

http://www.coolcustomers.co.uk/air-conditioning-units/product2.asp?intProdID=28&pr=Dehumidification&sr=Air%20Movers&mod=CC%2018

might be better, as less powerful? and dont blow ornaments over?

Mike, I voted over 4. I use them mostly when I have to dry area rugs laying down. Sometimes even when they are hoisted so as to give abviously more air flow. I have 6 by the way. When I was doing floods then like a lot of people I had a lot. I never counted them but probably had 20 or so. For those who dont use them for any reason...... buy one, use it when cleaning something and then you can charge more for the service. Otherwise you stay the same as everyone else and so cant charge more. Best, Dave.

Mine dont have grippers for holding rugs which would be useful sometimes. Can they be bought as add-ons?
