surely  £100  for  5 million pounds cover  is for public liabilty   not  employees liability? because i just got a quote for  £1600  a year for  employees liability.

For Employers liability expect to pay any thing from £450  ( mine ) up to £1600, or even higher.
Try the link above

make sure you are clear which insurance your referring to. Is it employers liability which covers the employer for being sued by the employee for injury etc or employees liability which is public liability for your employees.

On there Home page
If you click on the Tradesman / self employed

Then in the Trade business details where it says select

Click on General Tradesman

The next box down trade/  ocupation click on that and scroll down to the btom and you will see window cleaners

Got mine from darwin clayton which was £1200
But it does go on your turnover so the more you earn the more you pay.

If he has his own window cleaning business and own insurance i don't think you have to do anything.

But if most of the work comes from you i think he is then class as an employee so would need employers liability.

But i can't tell you for definate as i employ on PAYE
