snapped pole

broke my 45 ecolite brodex pole yesterday had it about 7months i wonder if brodex can sort this out for me or am i going to have to diy it?do thy come with a warrenty?

 you can useually buy new sections and replace I keek some fibreglass sheets and resin fo repairs untill the new section comes

spoke to brodex today only get a 3 month warrenty so going to have repair it myself or pay them 120 quid for them to do it. 800 pound pole 3 month warrenty have to remember that and use them hard for the first 3 months.

Dont take no for an answer , everything you buy has a 12 mointh warranty by law,

And must be fit for the purpose it was bought for.

I think the 12 months only applies to domestic products.

Dont know if it applies over there but if you bought it with a credit card then they may extend the warranty for you

Spoken like a True Retailer ;D ;D...Does this mean that whatever I buy for my Business,
e.g. Poles,pumps etc.dont allways have a 12 month Guarantee.....I just assumed they would....

the law states that it has to be fit for the purpose , ie what is the standard life of a product and thats it's . 12 months is the norm but if push comes to shove you can get more i think it's the 1986 sale of goods act or something like that

 fixed it myself its now a 44ft pole.saved myself 120 quid they wanted to charge me for the repair.

Hi PDH,

how did it snap? was it standard use or were you shutting a window with it. The only time I have ever snapped a pole has been pushing shut a window or jamming it in a balcony rail (1 month old!!) and hence has never been covered under the Sales act!

warrantte covers general wear and tear,

read all small print on there terms and conditions of sale prior to purchase.
