Cheers!

Yeah Tosh you are great!!!!!

I'm a Geordie and I know how to use the quote feature.  It would be easier to show you than explain.

Play about with it, using the quote icon in the panel above your post (just above all the smiley faces) and also use the preview function and don't post until you're happy.

I hope this helps you quote me, and give me future slaggings.

Regards,

Tosh.

I think i've got it. BTW Tosh I am a fellow scambaiter. How did you get your trophies? I'm also planning to use backpack for the tops and traditional for the bottoms soon. As for these photos, I've done a fake Western Union Slip better thatn these. N.B. Scambaiters may only understand this post!

So you have woke up on a window ledge wondering how you got there? I'm sorry but these pictures are silly. If they had ladders by the window then at least we would know how they got to the ledge.

They get to the ledge by climbing out the window and closing it behind them.

A well known and respected window cleaner in Aberdeen was cleaning windows this way on a busy street about 10 years ago. He fell 50ft to his death.  :(

Council clamped down on the practice. NEVER see it in Aberdeen now.

Are you Steve K? Your posts were worth staying up for. Your "Photo Threads" were brilliant. Please post more on this forum if you are Steve K.

Did any of you see CITY HOSPITAL this morning?

A ladder worker fell through a roof when cleaning windows, and broke arm in 2 places.  Off work for 3 months.......and he was self employed.

Company local to me, had a lad fall of his ladder and is in a bad way, the industry does need to redress this?!?!?!

I would have thought that while it paints a damming picture of the quality of planning that goes into new construction and the quality of maintenance of existing structures that all in all it shows the harsh ralities that a window cleaning co. is faced with when asked to bid for these buildings and in the long run any thing which will force architects to design safer buildings and force building owners to cover there share of the safety burden can only be a good thing for our industry, In the last six months i have benn asked to quote at least three buildings that when i got on site i had to explain to the building super that the place was not built properly to allow safe access for the window cleaner ( no eye bolts, huge overhang, 12 storey interior glass wall with no access for anything etc) only to be told that all codes had been adhered to and to find out later that someone else was washing the windows , I dont need the work that bad but some do. The irony is that in each case to fit the safety devices during the construction phase would have entailed minimal costs but to retro fit them would be a huge expense so thats three more buildings in Boston that will remain an unsafe place to work for a long time

I actually think they're getting quite tedious.

For some reason wfp users seem to think everyone else works like that.

If they want to, let them. ::)

They are real mate, I have seen this many times. They only usually get out to clean the third georgian row down ( top geogian row on lower opening window) this is because when you open it you can only clean the top window and part of the bottom from the inside. the row I mentioned above is impossible to reach as it goes up inside when you open the window.
