Has anyone made themselves a directory of suppliers along with what equipment/parts they are best priced for?
I am trying to work out how much it would cost to build a new 600l-1000l system for a second van, and all the bits-tank, filters, hose, reels, poles, connectors, battery etc....
I know that suppliers are mentioned on the forum, but it would be easier if it was in list format !!

Thanks for that! I was thinking more along the lines of smaller suppliers, such as chic cleaning etc for tanks and that sort of thing. These bigger companies tend to charge top dollar, and the products sometimes are c@@p. Most links on this forum are for products that have been tried and tested by window cleaners over a period of time, so we know they r durable! just thought some1 might have built up a list.
I'm based in Weston super mare for my sins!

  Did one back in Jan when I went DIY and found out the cheapest places
  for parts.

  However prices may have changed by now:-

  Cheapest I found were:-

  Pumps - Williamsons
  Tanks - Gardners
  DI Vessel - Gapswater however Steve from Freshwater who posts on here
                    is cheaper.
  Varistream - Cleantech
  Microbore hose - Gardners
  R/O - Never bought one so cannot comment
  Poles - Each make their own so it's down to your own preference

You would probably do better by making a list of everything you need and asking 2 or 3 companies to quote you for the lot.

There are a few companies that do everything you will need to set up. You will save on delivery charges as one large consignment will be cheaper than a load of small ones.

Also you should be interested in building relationships with suppliers on more than just price. A supplier who feels that you are a good customer who values their service will help you in a tight spot. Its the same as we would do for our good customers.

Sometimes what  might seem to be a very attractive price will cost you dear in lack of after-sales service.

Don't get me wrong Wavie Davie, i'm not after the cheapest product! just the best price for the best product! I never have bought rubbish, and don't intend to start now.
See what you mean about aftersales service, but let's be honest how often do you need aftersales service! it's not exactly rocket science is it!
I thought Ionic poles were good when i started out 3yrs ago, but now i'm looking at the Unger hi-flo carbontec pole- bit pricey though, fed up with replacing clamps on these ionic poles, they seem to be doing nothing to improve the durability of them. Or is it just me that thinks that! When i spoke to Ionics in the summer about resin colour changing so fast on polisher, it was down to the heat!! and apparently i wasn't the only one with a problem,always an excuse with some companies, the answer didn't help me in any way. Same problem with the hose carts @ £45 a go you would think they would be fairly durable, but the plastic is just not up to the job. £90 down the drain, and i won't be buying them again.
