The trouble with running a 'Hot Tap' (shower) unit (omnipole supply them) is that you can't heat the water directly to your pole because the water to the burner once ignited has to be kept running otherwise  when you stop poling the heater will overheat and blow your hoses apart like mine did.  The only way you can do it is to heat the water by means of circulation from the tank via the propane boiler back into the water tank. Also it is highly recommended that the propane boiler is used in an open unconfined space outside the vehicle. Also it is very hazardous to carry a large propane tank inside your vehicle. Personally I would look at fitting a diesel heater unit like 'Webasto' or Eberspacher' for safety and security resons. I have a complete reconditioned Eberspacher D5W night storage heater unit in mint working order which I plan on selling if someone is prepared to offer me £500ono for it as I no longer use it as I have fitted an indirect boiler into my van and plan to connect 2 water solar panels to it.

I Like one of the systems that Andrews water uses a LRG imersion heater into the holding tank gives you warm water to start the day with..

I tryed the cheaper version a Wickes imershion heater in the van tank for a couple of hrs before I started, Increased TDS to about 9 but generally worked well in so far as it alowed me to start as usual on the really cold FREEZING days and TDS did not give me any comeback

PS Southern Comfort also slurrs the fingers when typing...
The secret is not doing as you like but liking what you do

Whats the point of working on a day when the water will freeze
can cause slips on the ground.
Why cause extra hassle for yourself?

I am not talking of oneself.Customers tend to be drawn to
either hoses that will trip or water to slip on!

Even if you take all precautions they still make accidents happen ;)

so we have to stop working because we may spray a touch of water on a path? just be careful were you spray! i dunno if its me but when i leave a house there is only minimal water at the bottom of brick wall/windows were rinsing has taken place. not enough to create an ice rink accross footways. if we were that over cautious we would never work through the winter would we?

Hello SteveAqua,
Unfortunately it's not. It's the previous version. It's in immaculate condition, it works well and if you're still interested you're welcome to make me a sensible  offer

I'll dig out all the info for you and post it tomorrowas I have to go out in a mo. I know it's a 5kw. It has 2 heat settings and initially runs on the higher diesel output and higher heat setting until a certain temperature has been reached then it runs on minimal diesel on the lower heat setting automatically.
