Thats not too bad. 200 gals is only 760 litres and divide by 2 for UK water temp thats 380, so 450s OK

You can add another membrane to your RO system to almost double production. It should cut down on waste as well.

Extreme,

Numbers! to double production on a 200GPD yoy will need to add 2 membranes.

If the water pressure is good, above 60psi, I would add another membrane.  300GPD usually equates to 150 GPD (US) so you're looking at 570ltrs per day.

I get exactly 1 ltr in 5 mins out of a 100gpd RO-Man, thats 12ltr/hr,.. 288ltr per day off a 65psi reading.

john,

production rate is a combination of several factor, the water quality, the water temperature, the water pressure and the membrane type/quality. Just because you get 288 litres per day at 65psi doesn’t mean every one else will. eg if I run one of our 100gpd membranes on our water (5'C 280ppm hard) I get 1 litre every 4 mins 40 secs = to 308 litres a day and the product water is at 8ppm that about 97% reduction. Even at similar pressures you get different results in different parts of the country.

I was referring to the 100 GPD RO that is standard with the Freedom system. I should know because I have a few of them.

I know my numbers.  My favourite ones are 36-24-36  :P

You do seem to know your stuff re Ro's though Steve. I may be a southerner now but I am originally a dyed in the wool Yorkie.  I am looking into a large capacity static water production facility early next year so I will be in touch in the not too distant so that we can knock our heads together.

Steve,
Jeff was asking for guidance on water production, I understand what you are saying but the figures I gave were accurate in relation to me!
Your figure of 308ltr to my 288ltr is hardly a world apart so gives Jeff a rough guide as to what to expect in "real life" as opposed to virtually impossible to achieve manufactures figures

mmm, we used to run a 200gpd aquafx unit, water pressure 45psi, tds 300 to 350ppm, water out 250ltrs/day (rubbish I know) but 001ppm (excellent I know).

My advice for anyone looking to go into wfp or just wanting to replace an ro - go for a Merlin, or if you are really up for it, a 4040.
