help to quote please
« on: October 05, 2006, 04:04:42 pm »
Hi

After months of deliberating I am just about to order my first wfp set-up
Just as soon as I find a decent dispatch/expert to put it all in.
I am currently 100% trad.
I have just been asked to provide a quotation for this building
ground/first floors.
There are a total of 13 x  5 window sections wide
(hope thaty makes sense)
Could you guys give me a clue as to pricing this wfp of course
How long would you allow to do the job ?
What size pole would be required, etc
Its also very busy road with bus stops right outside the building
and busy with pedestrians
any additional issues I need to be aware of
i.e. use of cones in bus stops ,pavements, etc.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

regards
Russ

If It's just the lower windows and not the ones right at the top I would say for a first clean It would take about 1 hour.

I think a 34ft pole shoud do the job?

Quote between £45 & £75

As It's on a busy street do It on a sunday morning! (first thing!)

yes its from ground to 1st floor just under the first set of railings in the piccy.
you can actually only see 2 1/2 sections in this piccy there are 13/14 sections in total. That seems very cheap !!
or perhaps I did not explain it properly!

From what you are saying there are 65 windows in total?

I would charge £2 per window which would be £130 for the job +25% for the first clean.

It might help if people knew what area you are in, russ.

It shouldn't matter, but it does, prices vary.

£15 a section would = £195.00  then add 10% for first clean =£214.50

If the want It done often charge maybe £14 a section?

Can anyone advise approx how long this would take?
I will be new to wfp and its a first clean!
If you could estimate how long it would take one of you old wfp sweats
it will assist me when I do the job.
Anyone agree/disagree with the sort of pricing thats been offered??
Thanks
Russ

I think 1 section on a first clean could take you 15mins ???

On cleans after that you could knock off a couple of mins.

is that that cheapy shop just off southend high street?
i would contact southend council first just to make sure it is ok to do this as they can be a pain  ie the van on the road and people as this is a very busy cut through from the warrior car park you will want cones all over the place flashing lights on the van if you are in the road and high viz coats  plus you want at least £150 even more as this is a pain job so dont go in to cheap or you will regret it
if i remember this place i would think a 38 ft pole will be all right  good luck     stu
