Well i'm still in school and i had a chat with Career's advisor and he didn't know any window cleaning courses. After reasearch we found one and it was a apprenticeship. I could end up leaving with a :-

NVQ Level 3 in Profesional Window Cleaning Services

An apprenticeship? :o :o

What we do is only really a semi skilled job, and in that I am being very specific.

Within a month or two you should be fairly adept at cleaning windows and using the various techniques.
As time passes you will get quicker and quicker at what you do.

As further time passes you will gain experience as you overcome fresh challenges that come your way.

If you are going to be your own boss then you have all the associated skills needed to run a business, and there are plenty of business studies out there that can be adapted for window cleaning.

And of course there are a couple of day courses out there that will sort you out by giving you basic training and advice......

But that is all you really need, an apprenticeship lasts for years. involves college, exams and so on, and that just doesn't apply to window cleaning.

It would appear that w/c's feasily defend the industry by tooth and nail but whenever someone says something they don't like ie Are window cleaners qualified? they seem to think the person is taking the jimmy riddle.

We clean windows and have done for many years but never profess to be qualified to do so would be not only untrue but embarrassing also. Who knows a window cleaner with a degree in window cleaning - people would laugh at you.

Lets face fact and reality here. We are just people who clean windows with water, and yes we are looked down upon as just cleaners whether we like it or not by many people. Anyone can clean a window even my old neighbour who is 62.

Lets stop hyping up the industry by saying we are professors and alike and just get down to some hard graft.

If you wanna be a Doctor go and be a Doctor with all the titles and letters, but for now face facts, you and I are just average Joe Bloggs that cleans windows.

Reality check over.

All this site is is a way for the directors of that company to make easy money from people like you and I.

They saw an opportunity and took it. Anyone can commence an Academy such as this.

In fact I'm officially starting 'The Cleancare Academy for Window Cleaners'. Courses start from £500 and certificates are issued on completion for £5,000.

Any form of cleaning in this day and age is looked down upon whether we like it or not. It is classed as the lower end of the business society.

I would suggest finding a reputable w/c that will give you on the job training and you could study p/t or eves for any course that interests you ! inc starting or running your own business , which you may want to do when you become a 'qualified w/c '
