Hi strawman

In short no.
If you need to replace the filter  often you might be better off using a refillable di bottle and use a tds meter to monitor it,  it does take a bit more time, but is far more cost affective way to polish the water.

Cheers

You can buy colour changing resin, it's not unique to Ionics. However not sure
  how you refil the filter.

hi,
I replaced my "cartridge" which they (ionics) supplied (it lasted me one month!). I swapped it for 11L vessel, filled with Rohm and Haas, my tds has only just gone to 001 and I have been using the same resin since April.
The vessel filled with resin cost me £130.00 +vat +delivery. I have just bought a 25L bag of replacement resin (should last me almost a year!) for £85.00 inc delivery.

hope this helps.

strawman 69,

We are not as cheap for the resin as the lats post, but our vessels are better priced. Our 8 x 17" 11 litre is only £69 inc vat & delivery.

Sorry Steve read your quote wrong thought it excluded delivery and vat,
as it includes both in the price of £69.00.

  YOU WIN ;D
