Paid Holidays
« on: September 25, 2006, 12:49:04 pm »
For the first time in 20 years i'm giving myself a weeks paid holiday.
In the past I have taken time off to go away somewhere, but never paid myself to have a week at home.
Now I have a business account, I pay myself weekly. It almost seems like a proper job!!

Day 1 Been on a 27 mile bike ride, will spend the afternoon in the garden.

Does anyone else give themselves paid holidays?

Whats a holiday?

is that something where you dont have to pay bills, get up early come home late - knackered, not think about tomorrows weather and the water, the cold and the rain, will those gates be unlocked or will I have to climb over them again for the umpteenth time this year; is it quiet, relaxing, can you have a nap when you feel like it, have a drink or three, wander aimlessly about without hardly a care in the world, smell the roses, feel the sun on your back and the warm wind  - in your hair?

 - sounds as tho it could be fun - where do you go to get one?

Yes Stuart.

Just because you are self employed does not mean you do not NEED a break from the physical and mental stress of operating and running your own buisness.

We always make sure we get a break twice a year.  Every time our customers get a note saying there will be delay in their next cleaning date.  We get away, relax and recharge our batteries before we get 'burn out'.

Lifes too short for it to be dominated by work, work and more work.   >:(

Enjoy your week off and make sure you put in the training cos theres not long to go now  ;)

In the scheme of things you have already earnt the money for your holiday by physical work and when you get back you have to replace that money.

Whats a holiday?

Too much like hard work to get everything sorted before going, so not had a holiday in maybe 5 years.

We are looking into a holiday home or luxury camper van.

Squeaky,

I see your still being got at left right and centre.
(Don't tell anyone on here, but, we are using the pole less and less. It simply isn't usable in some of the Peak District villages.)

Your forgiven if its not usable,  :o

He brings it on himself  ::)

Be careful what you say about the sacred pole on this site, someone might get upset. ;D
