door knocking

just wondering if you guys feel door knocking looks desperate to customers as i am seriously considering it as my leaflet response has been so slow. ???

My whole round has been built up by me doorknocking... As far as I'm concerned it needs to be done.

And, no it doesn't look desperate... You are knocking on their door offering them a valuable service.

Doorknocking is essential to building up your business.

Leaflets are good but in general the response is less than 5% if that.

Whenever we canvass we knock both day and night and as an average generate £50 - £200 per day.

Keep knocking and the business will follow.

When I first started out I did flyers then a few days later went back and asked if they had a chance to look at my flyer and did they need a window cleaner.
I hated it , but it did bring in the work.
I dont think you can just rely on the flyer

My current response is 197 leaflets to 1 job if that helps any...if I was getting 5%...I would be a very happy little camper....alas not.

Very simply leaflets have got to be followed up with a call.
