Would you walk quietly away?

Just been informed that Choices Video are getting a National Contractor to do the windows and
"Sorry for the short notice but we only just heard".
I know there's not a lot can be done but how about sending an invoice for a months cleaning in lieu of notice?
Anyone done that?
Anyone know who the contractor is maybe I can sub it back?

Hi
I'm not involved in window cleaning but in the commercial office cleaning world I would definately invoice.
Do you have a signed contract with them stating your notice period?
If so they are in breach of contract if no notice is given. I have argued this with companies and in the end they let us serve notice rather than pay for cleaning works that we don't carry out, although our contracts state a three month period we do at times reduce this period.
What have you got to lose by invoicing? Accompany it with a letter stating your terms and conditions and your period of notice required.
Good luck
