Hi Tony,

I use all three depending on the carpet.

I've been getting excellent results with Prochem Pureclean as a pre spray and also intank product on light carpets.

It's very cost effective because it's the 'microsplitter' active chemical , sodium tripolyphoshate in a powder form so you are not paying for water .

If the carpets are dirty or multicoloured I tend to use alkaline products with optical brightners.

 Would you mind explaining that process? Do you mean you prespray with pureclean then extract with pureclean in your solution tank?

Not by me.

Lets face it first impressions count and optical brightners give a very good first impression.

Most washing powders which you use will contain these products and these would have been tested for skin irritation etc.

I would be far more reluctant to use enzymes.

I try to use a common sense approach to which product to use , depending on the soil ,fibre compostion etc
