Pure muppetry!

Started well today - filled up and set R/O running so I could be back at lunch time to refill (I only carry about 200 litres) - £100 done by 12 noon using 180 litres.

Reverse up car to water barrel, fling open tap and put the kettle on.

Check tank is not overflowing and..... aargh! No water!

When I switch on the R/O I let it run for a few minutes so that the resin doesn't bear the brunt of bringing down the TDS reading until the water is coming out the R/O at about 10ppm.

Today I drove off without connecting the r/o back up to the storage tank - so 125L of 000TDS water down the drain - literally.

And now I'm waiting 'til 2pm so that I can at least take 50 litres with me! :(

POST YOUR MISTAKES HERE AND MAKE ME FEEL BETTER!
It's a game of three halves!

A couple of months back, I removed my 250ltr tank from the van to waterproof the floor and sides, undid tap on tank to flush it out and drain it, that evening everything was refitted and I filled up.
When the tank was full, I noticed the van was too! about 2 " or more deep in water. I had'nt done up the tap on the tank after I'd flushed it, doh! ::)

The good point was the waterproofing held, no leaks, just pumped the water back into the tank
