« on: August 09, 2006, 05:24:06 pm »
Hi guys,
Is anyone using one of these?
http://www.cleansmartsupplies.co.uk/acatalog/Oreck_Orbiter.html

I`v had it with the brush for agitating presprays.
I`v looked at the Sebo Duo  :-\
http://www.statevacuum.com/sebo_duo.asp

Then for more money but more weight The Envirodri Dry.
http://www.cleansmartsupplies.co.uk/acatalog/Envirodry_Envirodri.html
your input appreciated as always.
Cheers,
Rab

I use the sebo duo and a Host T6.  The Sebo is very light but if you need to get deep with weight the T6  is great. Both have conytra rotating brushes therefore no flick up from pre spray.

Thanks for the replies guys.
So no one is using the Oreck?.
What is your favorite method for agitating?
the reason for asking is I`m going to invest quite a few quid
into my business and want to get things right.
Cheers

Hmmmm, I must admit I prefer to agitate first then allow dwell time.
Food for thought.
Cheers.

if your using a machine all every day then the sebo duo wins hands down, it's so light it won't kill you! :o

power scrubbs  do clean carpets very very well !

bit heavy, but they can be quick as mines 15" wide,

if you come accross a trashed carpet try a power scrubb ;)

I use a Oreck Orbitor, great for small areas ( bathrooms & around beds, fantastic for stairs) they do a better job than the Sebo and last forever.

but... slow on large areas so I've started to carry my 17inch rotory with stiff scrubbing brush I use this on 80% of jobs and the Oreck on the other 20%.

Hi Mike,
you seem to be the only one using the Oreck,
Is it suitable for all types of carpets, I thought it might be a bit doggy on berbers and  wool.
Do the brushs last?
Cheers
Rab.
Oh! thanks for all the input  ;)

I use them for all carpet types, the brushes ( orange not the soft Black)tend to lean over so become less agressive with use, at firsts they judder all over the carpet.

I would not pay full price for one, I bought mine off ebay for £90.

the bonnet option is a nice advantage.

Peter,

Whats involved in changing them over?  How long does it take?  Been thinking about the Envirodri for sometime, but never actually seen one in the flesh until the Woodbridge day yesterday.  Serious bit of kit.   ;)

very simple there are two long pins that are easily removed by just pulling out no nuts or bolts takes less then a minute. i think its a great bit of kit. pity you did not ask yesterday as i could have shown you and also the effect it has on carpets
