quote for fitting a van out
« on: August 03, 2006, 04:43:48 pm »
Hi all

My van went in for repair ( insurance job other party took full responsability ) so i have had to strip my system out of my van and install it in a hire van, and will have to do all this again when the hire van goes back.( 250ltr van mount )

So been on to the insurance for some compensation for my trouble, they want me to get a quote in writing of what it would cost for the pro to fit it.

Does anyone know where i can get a written quote from as i dont think the big boys would be willing to do a fit only job.

Cheers Jeff.

Thanks marc, but would it stand up to being checked by the insurance co.

I have e. mailed kirsty at gardiners to see if they can provide one, as thats where i bought all my equipment from.

Cheers Jeff.

Whether it will stand up to the insurance companys scrutiny is the key issue here, Aplan insurance stipulate that systems must be pro fitted (eg Ionics systems) but to that end how far does the term Pro go , I would argue that a tank fitted by a qualified motor mechanic could be classed as Pro fitted
