I've never worried about putting prices up.Just got on with it.I run a business for me not for the client.
Lost another one today because of a £2 price increase, £16 from £14. I kind of expected it because she complained when I last increased the price two years ago. Never mind, I clean 37 houses in that estate, I now make £57 more in the estate and clean 1 house less.
Pricing a new clean, I price on the high side so I don't need to put the price up for a while. I like a tenner minimum and slowly moving away from the £7 cleans. In the end if I can do the job quickly and do plenty on the street then I like to hold the price for as long as possible. In the end its all about our hourly rate.
