Hi Guys, ive got a few conservatory cleans/fascias /guttering etc
What do you guys find best for getting the dirt and grime off, other than elbow grease?
Just want to make ot a bit easier, any suggestions appreciated.

I've tried a few things over the the years, I now just use washing up liquid, I think you get the same result, if the glass is clear on roof I use just water or a little  liquid unless its really bad.

We use UPVC cleaner made by Liquipack. We buy it from Ebay for around £25 for 6 X 5 litre containers. Good stuff.

Mild hypo mix with surfactant . Mild in strength and increase as needed. Only leave on to dissolve surface grime and algae.

The brush can be more important than any treatment

Use a stiff sill brush, it will get rid of the stubborn marks and get in the all different corners of the ridge cresting and finial

I find a soft flocked brush with fan jets from Gardiner's works better. Flocked bristles hold onto chemicals and allows you to work them into the surface and dwell. Stiff monofilament brush water just passes through bristles and more chance of scratching conservatory roof if your rubbing lichen spots too hard. Softwash all day for me.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the replies, much appreciated.
I will have a look at some of those ideas and take it from there, its mainly for those really dirty/green cladding, fascia boards or conservatories etc. If its not too bad i just use pure water, but when its bad (Lichens, gone all green etc etc) its easier to use something to soften it first.
Many thanks

I did a test of 3 degreasers and they all worked well. What made a difference was the temperature of the water that was mixed with them. The hotter the better.
