A picture tells a thousand words Bungle. 😉
Not sure I’m understanding this properly but if the break is only 15cm down section 1. Why not just saw off the broken bit and re glue the clamp on the end. You’ve lost 15cm in length. What you seem to be doing is making section 1 twice as heavy and then only extending it 15cm . Must have got this wrong?

Years ago when we used carbon fishing poles for lightweight big poles i done similar and it snapped at height. But we'll see i suppose, you havn't really tested it properly yet.
I just grab a section from my 'pole graveyard'...🤣My current xtreme 25 is nearly 2 years old now and I've had to replace section 1 and 3...Section 1 is off an old SLX pole and section 3 is off an old extreme I have quite a few xtreme base section 5 and 4s so I think I'll just buy the first 3 xtreme sections when it's time for another pole.

Thinking of a new venture. Pay windies to send me their broken poles and I repair them and sell them on as seconds. A top section for an Xtreme 18 or 22 is £114 plus vat and delivery so nearly £150. Say I pay £20 plus delivery, it would be better than flinging both bits away. Watch this space!
Well I dropped the pole a few times today and have used it plenty of times fully extended, nothing. I think its even better than a new pole because mine all break at the same place, 6" from end. Think the plastic is more forgiving and doesn't break due to shock factor.I love it when a plan comes together.Might change name to A Team window cleaning. 😂
