People just like chucking money away. Love CleanClear's comment about tank plastic quality!

How has my self fitted Wyedale tank lasted for 13 years in my 13 year old van with its 13 year old immersion heater?

I've got much better things to spend £25k plus on than a new van and system.

 ;D
It's a game of three halves!

So I’ve decided to get with the times and get a transit custom from vantrader , two or three years old . Plus all the bells and whistles hot water/electric reel etc from grippa . I’m thinking it can be done for £25000
Before I pull the trigger do you guys recommend a better company than grippa. I’ve always installed it myself up till now.

Grippatank for system. It'll be a difficult job trying to fit a diesel hot water system yourself
price higher/work harder!

Lets be real here guys, everyone is assuming and guessing but no one really knows the facts about securing (pardon the pun) for your self and your employees and 100% crash tested safe system. Ionics have online facilities to talk to them and find out from the horses mouth and not guessing from any nonsense we saying here ...............

Funny for loads of reasons.

Not a one has really popped up to tell him otherwise have they ?

He's never thought or realised to go back to the supplier of the system he has now ?

I could go on... i'd send Scottishs Mick to sleep !!!     ;D

And thats even if i could spell Scottish !!!  ;D

I would look at the systems from cleaning warehouse in Wolverhampton...

Too cheap.
Pure waters, pure water, does the job.

Its not just that mate, its the quality. Anyone who knows about plastics will know that not all plastic tanks are equal. You feel the cheap ones and you can just tell. When you feel the quality of a proper fitted system you'll just know. Its hard to explain. Plus , also they use proper genuine Shurflo pumps etc... not the Generic Shurflo pumps you can just get off Ebay or general window cleaning suppliers generally. Again , when you know about the difference in quality its something you just come to appreciate.
I have had the same tank for over 10 years from them no problems.
And i know several people that have had no issues with their systems.

People used to say that about their tyres. We all know nothing lasts forever, if your tank is over 10 years old you really need to get that checked for safety if nothing else.
Check what? It's a plastic water tank...no splits  ;D

Im just utterly gobsmacked that anyone would consider spending  38.5 k thats  45k +  incl vat on a system  :o.  in the real world, not the CIU willy waving world, a  hell of alot of wc wont get anywhere near  that amount  of money in terms of turnover in a year! Back in the day when the wahd came in, van systems were considered the  last resort, only for people who didn't have access to a garage or shed. The world of marketing by wc suppliers seems to have taken over and newbies are being lulled into sense that "sexy looking set ups" are a necessity.  45k is a big step towards moving towards somewhere that does have a garage or shed.! I went on a government hmrc business course years ago and the very 1st thing they preached was the very core principals of any business.. ie.. keep your outgoings as cheap as possible and your incomings as high as possible. No body needs to spend that sort of money on a van system even if a van system is your only option.

Have you been drinking?

The OP said 25k for van and system which I think is reasonable if your planning on being a window cleaner for quite a few years and you want a reliable van that your not changing every few years....

He can do what he wants it's his business and money!

I don't regret one bit getting a brand new van and hot system. It makes my working days easier and more comfortable. The heated drivers seat is lovely in the winter months and the hot water system🔥 and electric reel just helps my day along!🙂👍

Why do you ask this in a sort of put down scenario ? You've a car and van worth more than the flat you live in.

And whats wrong with drinking ?
