Didn’t think I’d change anything this year but….
« on: January 19, 2025, 03:56:07 pm »
So I’ve decided to get with the times and get a transit custom from vantrader , two or three years old . Plus all the bells and whistles hot water/electric reel etc from grippa . I’m thinking it can be done for £25000
Before I pull the trigger do you guys recommend a better company than grippa. I’ve always installed it myself up till now.

Is this on a whim ?  ;D

Sounds good until you have to pay for it.

Be very cautious of spending that kind of money with Grippatank , customer services extremely poor

If you have £25k to spend on a two man system i'd be looking at Ionics, they might be able to do one for that price. Be prepared to haggle though. Then all you gotta add is the van.

I’m not spending £25000 on a system . I was hoping that would include the van. Can you not get a system for 10 grand ?

If your current van can keep you going until spring plan your new set up from then into summer, will be easier than mid winter. Get best van you can find for your money, then perhaps a 700 litre Pure20 system , hose reel and heater from Prefredom

If you want to keep everyones family and friends safe you really need a crash tested system. Otherwise you will be potentially risking peoples lives.

Ionics offer stuff like this, i think its cheap, i mean what price peace of mind and safety ?

But if that seems a bit steep, and should you decide to be a bit of a skinflint and prioritise your wallet over peoples safety, they do offer a mirror service with some sort of mirror company that does the same stuff a bit cheaper :

https://www.pure2o.co.uk/product/hydros-system/

The beauty of this one is that not only is it crash tested , thereby making everyone safe it also protects your childrens inheritance  in as much as you havn't had to take out a second mortgage to buy a van fit for work.

Ionics do refurbished  systems second hand they are much better value for  money see if they have anything that might be suitable for you . Many say pure freedom systems are good not personally had one though .

Its not just that mate, its the quality. Anyone who knows about plastics will know that not all plastic tanks are equal. You feel the cheap ones and you can just tell. When you feel the quality of a proper fitted system you'll just know. Its hard to explain. Plus , also they use proper genuine Shurflo pumps etc... not the Generic Shurflo pumps you can just get off Ebay or general window cleaning suppliers generally. Again , when you know about the difference in quality its something you just come to appreciate.

Ionics don’t use sureflow pumps they are aquatec pumps with ionics labels on them or at least they were the last time I looked

I have had the same tank for over 10 years from them no problems.
And i know several people that have had no issues with their systems.

People used to say that about their tyres. We all know nothing lasts forever, if your tank is over 10 years old you really need to get that checked for safety if nothing else.

I think your right mate. It might of been the label that confused me, but i think its fair to point out.... Ionics don't make pumps. Are the Aquatec ones safe do you know ?
