Well things changed for me, just over 3 years ago when I had the fall and had the left of my skull removed to stop the inside bleeding and then the skull was swelling, this was posted on here over the last couple of years.
I finally got my licence back in September and started working again in October and return back one month later.
I’ve been in the trade altogether 35 years in October just gone. I had two full weeks in the village where I grew up , but I had a couple more days so it went to 2 weeks and about 2 days into third week.
Then is where I started work in another small village that was everyone knew everyone, this took a full weeks and then another 2/3 days into the 4 th week.
The last 3 days were spent here and there with enough work to fill in the last week ready to start the start of the next month at the start of the next month.
Once it was posted on Facebook that I’d had a serious accident, new window cleaners came into the two villages I had worked for over 30 years, telling a lot of my customers I had a serious accident and they were taking his work,.
As a result when I posted a note through all customers I was coming back to work, the majority of customers told me they already had a new window cleaners came who was “so helpful, doing this and that, so I can’t get you back now.”
Yes might be helpful and doing all sorts of extra work, but after 30 years of service,I did the same thing, and some jobs weren’t charged for. So what the hell does it make people think of me after I HAD to stop work after the accident , and getting well again?
It feels like’ you stopped working without telling everyone , which is true, I’ve had this after many customers, but after the operation on the bleed inside the head, I couldn’t speak properly , I couldn’t remember all the customers I had or their names.
It feels like costumers have said” you packed in without telling us so we’re using a new window cleaner now”.
