Normally it's agents as opposed to competitors though.

Had similar email, it's definitely a scam targeting small business.   

After researching and checking IP the email was sent from a VPN from another country pretending to be from London.

There is a new ish company going round buying window cleaning rounds and companies all over the UK.  Huge investment, i don't know the details from the email you had but it could be them maybe.

There is a new ish company going round buying window cleaning rounds and companies all over the UK.  Huge investment, i don't know the details from the email you had but it could be them maybe.

What you find is big American companies come over with plenty of dosh and buy up small businesses in expanding business. Mate met an old guy on a plane from Kilmarnock who was telling him he got a great offer from an American company for his funeral business. Turns out he was one of the first and the company was called Dignity. They went massive and covid hit and they sold out to a private equity with that guy Wood incharge who started Direct Line.

Hard to believe they would come for window cleaning companies but they sniff around companies that are expanding. I think it would be difficult for them to make money but you never know. What they would probably do is go down my route and also do property maintenance.  🤔

From what i've seen its always cheaper to buy new gutters, fascias and even roof rather than what some cowboys want to charge for cleaning them
