The first question Doug will need answered is what your water pressure is. A pressure gauge is available from Screwfix and/or Toolstation.

I've had excellent service from my Axeon HF5 membrane. It's still producing pure at a 97% rejection rate. It's 12 and a half years old. But it is producing pure really slowly now, so probably needs replacing shortly.

Its easy to miss an obvious trick here : we all just mostly measure our output. But your TDS coming in may have changed over time and that could be the reason why your membrane is not lasting as long if it has risen ?

Oliver was saying Grippatank now fit their own membranes because Axeon have become expensive. He said they are better and are made in the USA.

Check their specs "Minimum Feed Flow Rate (lpm) 15" That's more  than you are legally allowed to pull from a domestic water supply!
Minimum supply pressure 6 bar = 84psi which is quite high.

Even before the price increase, 2 x 4021 membranes cost much more than a 4040 membrane. Hence, the reason why I decided to go the 4040 route.

My system makes pure pretty quickly and maybe it's to do with 2 membranes rather than one.

Soap national have some very good prices.

That's a really good price. I need to order a new one and will give this one a try for £202 incl free delivery.

Thanks for sharing it here on the forum.

Just be aware that this membrane needs 100psi to run. As long as you can meet that input pressure you should be ok.
