Spotless water
« on: November 13, 2024, 08:25:24 pm »
Does anyone on here use this company for their water? I had a call from them today asking me if I want to attend their latest site in Halesowen around 6 miles from me and the nearest of their other sites. They're offering unlimited free water on the day and free refreshments. We're thinking about taking both of our van's up there on empty if we can but wanted to ask if anyone else uses them first and if so what is your opinion of them.

How much of your working day are you going to waste just to get what in effect is £5 of free water and a bacon cob?

Plus side, it'll be handy if your RO packs up at any time. I can't see how they make a profit tbh.
We look at them, they look through them.

As a regular supply it’s expensive at 4.9 pence plus vat per ltr much cheaper to make your own but as a one off for a freebi and a look round worth a punt .

Thought as much thanks for input. I may be moving next year to a property with a water meter so for me to continue to make my own it may be a better option.

It’s just pure water, nothing exciting about it, I use our local one every now and then to top up if I’m running low.

They’re everywhere now.

Where are you based? We’ve got three here within 20 mil radius! One of which is 3 miles from me.

When they started up the cost was 3p plus vat a litre. I thought that was a good price but not much profit in it and I realised it would slowly increase. Now 5p plus vat is still quite good if you are on a water meter but the way the water companies are going I fear it will only increase going forward.

There’s nothing to look around. They’re a lock up with a hosepipe sticking out.

If they are offering bacon baps I assumed they were in a unit ?  Ime suprised they don’t sell basic consumables I would have thought they would do well .

Because then you’ve got to staff it…

Much better keeping it simple

they  offered bacon butties etc in middlesbrough one.     bottled  water  no hot food.     nothing to  cook it on   they will probably say this .     oh you do get a free sticker and   fragrance novelty to hang up
