No because I’m not there! Take the switch apart and have a look. It’s only a few screws. If you’ve got the newer two button switch,  wire it to the other button. It’s easy.

If it’s the red switch they can stick make sure the bit that goes in and out is lubricated with a silicone spray if it’s that it will fix the problem

I have the two button switch. Mine was doing the same but I couldn't visibly see it sticking.  It's quite scary when it keeps going & I think dangerous. I kept pumping the switch & it stopped. Once this happened a few times  though I rewired it to the other switch button. Seems to have fixed it.

I did phone waterworks twice but kept getting the answer machine. I left a message both times but never got a callback. I wondered if it was anything to do with the relay as I had a spare for some reason but changing the wires to the other switch button seems to have cured it.

One of mine takes a 40amp, the other takes a 50amp. One’s newer than the other. Different motors.

Op is only blowing fuses because he’s grabbing the hose to stop it spinning. Blowing the fuse is the 3d’s only failsafe. There’s no clutch or anything. That’s it’s only letdown imo.

No. Just open up the switch unit & connect the two wires to the other button.

I had this problem, I changed the switch for a completely new one.
I had the lower ampage fuse, 40 amp now, that fixed it
Not had a fuse blow in at least 18 months now

I had the same problem and thought it was the switch, but it was a relay.
I phoned them up and they were really helpful, the guy I spoke to sent me a pic of the relay to buy from Halfords (about £5), fairly easy to fit and worked fine.

It’s inside the waterproof box.
