I do like the look of a signwritten van but these days when i get a walk up im thinking oh no dont ask me to clean your windows i cba ive got enough to do today  ;D i try not to attract them anymore than i have to.
I know what you mean, I dread it when I see someone walking to the van....most of the time they are weirdo time wasters just there to waste your time ;D

100 %.   Lost count the number of walk ups asking for a quote and a card and then never hearing from them.

I too dread a walk up thinking I CBA these days now I'm flat out

1. I'm never flat out with work
2.I always take on new work due to natural shedding
3.some walk ups have turned into great, regular jobs over the years

price higher/work harder!

The problem we have is we don't know what the job is like till we are finished. We can speculate what it will be like but unless we have done something similar then its a guessing game. I used to think flats were a licence to print money until the person below started complaining the water was marking their windows. If you get the full side then its great but it doesn't seem to workout like that.
