If it’s the ones on ebay that were in a previous thread a couple of months back then yes they work great. So is the tool for opening them up.

They are fantastic! I'm still using one that I serviced 2 years ago and it's still going strong. The stainless spring lasts forever, had to open it up a few weeks ago as the small rubber o ring had dislodged and the spring was still like new! I have used them on all 3 of my univalves.

Funny enough, I've just ordered the official repair kit.

Opted for that because it pretty much makes it a brand new valve for a little bit more and guarantees the correct parts.

The ones off ebay are as good and cheaper though.

Stainless steel spring works well and lasts longer just use good grease.

Rootek you get 3 kits for £19.75 or 5 kits for £24.75. All stainless springs plus opening tool. The Rootek spring works better than the original spring too.

It is an interesting topic.
I have 2 univalves on my poles that are from the original batch and they are still working fine. The only issue was the the small o ring in one also came dislodged. I glued it back.

They are also prone to sticking, but a bit of silicone grease around the large o ring cures it for another couple of months.

Saying that, we still have a working pole on the van with an Aquadapter on it. In the past 5 years I've just replaced the spring once.

The  aquadapter was bulky, but it did add another 9 inches to your pole, my missus loved it  ;D

what i liked about the aquadapter was you could turn the wheel half way to adjust the flow and it was bullet proof springs were so easy to change they just worked very smooth
