Yeah, I moved house on a Thursday, hired a Luton on the Wednesday to get it packed a day before. I didn't have a single day off in the summer. And yeah, well behind. I'll just do them when I get to them.

I don't think that there are many window cleaners who have a full round, aren't behind this year due to the weather.

I’m well on track spruce, but I make a real effort to keep up to date, even if it means working Saturdays. Saying that, it’s defo not a as bad for us here in Essex, less rain than most areas.

I had 16 days off last month and it was wonderful! 10 of them in Spain..

I was raring to go after that....I'm moving soon too but im not taking any time off.

I'm dedicating my weekends to my stepdaughters house til end of Oct...I cut 12 trees down last weekend, jetwashed driveway and wall and lots of other  jobs. I'll be decorating  for the next few weekends 👍🙂

I just move all my work 2 weeks forward. I couldn't be bothered trying to squeeze work in on Saturdays as well. That's how I get fed up with the job so I avoid it.

I’m talking about days missed due to weather, not holidays…

I don’t mind working any day of the week, it’s only 4 hours or so  ;D

And I'm starting to want to drop Thursdays as well.

In fact this week I will be my right elbow is f***ed, my shoulder is f***ed and I've had enough of this lark.

Seriously Adam I think you need to sell up and do something else. I don't think your cut out for window cleaning...

If your shoulder and elbow are bad now imagine what they will be like if your still window cleaning at my age?

I'm 53 in 2 weeks time with zero injury issues (and may it stay that way for many years yet)

I'm hoping I've got at least another 27 years left window cleaning then ill think about retiring fully at 80...

I know one guy still going at 80 and he keeps saying he ll retire soon but he's been saying that for years(he started window cleaning at 18)so 62 years shining!😎👍

I've got dodgy joints, diagnosed at 26. I hit the expand button (I was working 60hrs+ per week from the age of 26 - mid thirties)

Now my job is at a desk.

I have 21 days off every August…. 3 weeks in Corfu with the family.  I get all my commercial work upto date and work the weekend before I go and the weekend when I get back.

Domestic work just gets pushed forward, I don’t stress about keeping that work bang upto date tbh.

Enjoy spending time on holiday with the kids whilst they are still of an age where they want to.

You know what daz i dont particulary like window cleaning but i can stomach it,

what really gets me is the constant fatigue

I wake up aching, peel myself out of bed to go slog round houses all day. My wrists ache constantly from gripping and at the moment my right elbow hurts a lot. I get shoulder and neck pains at random. Then i get home and just feel drained. I go to the gym, i cycle, my diet is decent now but i still feel like ive been run over at the end of the week. I generally recover over the weekend and by monday i usuallly have the enery to do a good days work. But it feels like every day after than takes more and more out of me by the time i get to thursday im totally fed up and in a bad mood.

I dont know if its because i just try and do too much work in a day, i go flat out, start around 8 finish about 1 or 2 and aim for about 25 houses a day sometimes a bit more or less.....maybe if my prices where higher i could take more time but i always feel like im going 100mph to earn a decent crack.

It sounds to me like your doing too much for your body and mind  to recover adequately. You shouldn't be totally drained after 4 short days at work

Sleep and diet are very important.Hows your sleep?

Do you think you might be exercising too much for your current physical condition?

Are you getting enough protein?I think you should aim for at least 100g-150g per day esp if your weight training

Do you find it hard to switch off and relax? Are you constantly worrying about everything?

It’s all about attitude and reducing the hours Adam.

Work 4-5 hours per day, get up and BE POSITIVE. I was a professional pessimist untill 25 years old when I changed my thinking completely. I was always skint, hardly worked (was window cleaning) and fed up.

Invested in WFP and totally changed my thinking. Made a huge difference!

pushing 25 ish houses a day as fast as possible ..... no wonder you burn yourself out, chill out and do less. It's the journey of life, not the destination that matters

I'm not an expert, and your mileage may vary as only you know what you're doing as regards to work, exercise, diet, rest and mental stresses, but it looks like you're doing too much. Diet and rest are as important as exercise, but it might also be worth seeking as professional medical opinion. It could be that you have an iron deficiency maybe. Either way, it's something you need to sort out before you burn yourself out.
Maybe add a couple of quid to each clean - even if you lose a couple, you'll get a similar income with less work, less physical stress and more free time to recover. Good luck either way
The good thing about science is that it's true whether you believe it or not.

I clean 20+ houses a day some days in 5 or 6 hours on my cheaper estate work no problem. Then I'm playing drums or lifting weights in the gym in the evening...

Tonight 90 mins on the drums playing along to jazz funk, reggae, rock n roll drumless tracks!😎👍🥁
