I have sold work to another window cleaner on here, albeit only one property, but when I started musing about selling the business I put a post on here about it.
The same window cleaner subsequently heard through the grapevine I was selling up so called me. He is now in partnership with another window cleaner. We all three met up for a coffee, I discussed what I had for sale and what I wanted for it, they were both very agreeable, and we agreed a price on the spot, subject to certain conditions.
I wasn’t selling immediately as I had my house to sell so they out a 20% deposit down on the work and would pay the balance once my house move was finalised. That took quite a long time, and the two guys were very patient. Now hassle from them about hurrying up the procedure, just the occassional WhatsApp to get an update.
Then I had my accident which put a whole new perspective on things but they were just happy to wait. I was very grateful that they didn’t pressurise me throughout that time at all and when the time to sell came they transferred the money spot on. The sale of the business included the sale of two websites but not the van.
Prior to doing business with these two I’d had enquiries from another cleaner but to be frank he was a real arse. He thought he would tell me what the work sould be sold for and if we agreed a price once we had agreed then I’d work for him. A complete prick to be honest but the right sale came along, quite speedily and with very little hassle from the buyers.
