It's the inside of a bar and they want the ceiling cleaning on a regular basis. It's a load of mirrors basically.
I did a test just using the usual applicator and squeegee and it cleans fine, but the problem is once youve finished your pull with the squeegee there's a lot of dirty water left that is very hard/slow to wipe away.
Any opinions on a quicker way of doing this? Or even just a decent method for collecting the dirty water marks

No different to doing a Connie roof on the inside what goes up comes down dirty and on you  nice white walls to get dirty water on
I use steps and work up and over applicator with minimal water or a plant sprayer then squeege off
Or wipe with a selection of dry tea towels which works better than scrim or microfibres  a window vac may do it sorry to swear!!

Could see that coming. I have a large stepladder and if I could reach then all I would do is spray with glass cleaner and wipe with paper towels. When up close then its easy to make a good job of it.

Why not microfiber cloths?

I buy spray and rolls of paper white towels from my PVC place, cheap as chips. All you do is spray and wipe then bin the towel. With any cloth, where does the dirt go? On the cloth. At that acute angle cleaning you don't want any hassle with smearing so new paper towel is the best for any spray solution. Clothes end up wet from the spray and you will be up there all day going over the same bits. Spray, wipe and bin, Kiss, keep it simple Sam, always the best way I have found out for uncomfortable jobs.

I wouldn't do the job but if you must a spray bottle with pure water in and microfibres would be my approach to it.

I think Lee Pryor once said something along the lines that you have to realise not every job is worth your while. It really struck a chord with me. I always felt bad saying no to jobs I didn't want to do before & worried what the customer would think of me.  Now I just tell them I don't want to do it. End of. They can get someone else if they don't like it.

I'd run a mile from that job no matter what. Imagine you press a bit too hard with an internal kit or something & crack a mirror or knock a light.  Sod that.

Never a truer word said. The risks are just too great, especially when you knock a bottle off the shelf or they start asking where that bottle of scotch is that was there 5 minutes ago.

I will admit though, that those mirrors make for an interesting photo.

I see you say its one of those jobs you cant turn down and i get this, i take it you get a lot of other work from this person.

Either light spray and micro fibres or how about using a karcher on a pole and this then gets rid of the fact of drips, yes I'm not a big fan of them but everything has a use at times and i think this may be it. Saves on ladders as well
