Need a Reasonably Priced Pole Rack?
« on: May 18, 2024, 01:44:45 pm »
We made this steel internal pole racking system as the ones on the market are too expensive for our needs.

They can be fitted to the roof or sides.

They can also be telescopic.

We would like to see what you think. If you could please spare a moment to take the poll, we would be very grateful.

Any suggestions welcome. Just send me a message.

Many thanks.

Sam

Everything's a rip off in this game. WCW want 200 quid for a rack that's a few bits of box tube tacked together  :D

I'm like you I'd make my own.

I'd do a 3 and 4 pole option  if I was flogging them

I have a few 70mm drainpipes connected to the side of wire baskets fitted. If anyone wants to have a look I will post a photo. Both baskets and 70mm pipe is cheap as chips.

Drainpipes and munsen rings....cheap as chips.around £50 all in for 2.you could actually just use the munsen rings on their own but I prefer the drainpipes as well so my poles are fully enclosed in the van.
price higher/work harder!

Grey soil pipes and clips, up against the van roof. I’ve got 4 of them, you can get 2 poles in each if you want. Cost almost nothing and is by far the best and neatest looking way of doing it.

Self tappers keep the clips against the van roof in the solid ribs that strut across the van (usually where roof racks would be).

Put soil pipe in. Done. And looks way better than all that racking/box section nonsense!
