Given 2 poles
« on: February 14, 2024, 05:41:30 pm »
One of my custys gave me 2 poles today . His daughter’s ex boyfriend left them in his garage about 6 months back . Failed attempt at starting a window cleaning business . I think one is an slx 47 , very heavy .the other an slx 35 . Now all we use all day every day are slx 25s . Are the top sections  compatible with the 25s . Could save em in case we snap a section , or can they be stripped down to make 2 new slx 25s . Just looked on gardeners website . They weren’t cheap to buy ,

Billy I had a slx all the extensions upto no 12

I took the top o4 sections off and use it as a roof cleaner

I have an extreme  25 and I put that on the slx and used it today at 6 stories it's wippy and heavy

But yes they fit

Nice one . Good result then . I was putting my prices up on his road as well this morning. But told him I wouldn’t put his up as a thankyou . He started saying he should get at least today’s clean free of charge . 😂😂😂😂 told him he needs to move counties for that .

Todays clean foc would be the least I'd to be honest. The bloke has given you £100's worth of kit.
We look at them, they look through them.

SLX are good solid poles but the 47 footer will be heavy and whippy at full extension,so will the 35....

Personally I'd sell them if you have no work at these heights...... if their in good nick you could get at least a few hundred quid each for them.....

Remember SLX sections very rarely snap.
price higher/work harder!

I flogged my slx/clx hybrid 40 odd footer to the last lad that worked for me. Dont know why i was keeping it for a handfull of jobs to use it on for all those years. Horrible, heavy, whippy thing struggling on velux that you can get zero pressure on anyway.
