Quote from: Shrek on February 09, 2024, 04:38:45 pmRefuse entry to your home and then they’ll charge you on your rateable value for your houseThat would only work if meter fitted inside your property boundary. Mine is fitted in the footpath outside where the supply pipe Tees off jrom the main.
Just got home today to see a letter from the water company we are a fitting water meter to your property I've been filling my tank 14 years not had to worry about it, this time of year it takes about 6hrs to fill I think the meter will finish me like that how to people go about it.My tds is about 320 so can't just put it through resin.Any advice
I still pay less than water rates with the meter fitted.
I had my water bill today. I'm on a meter. £388 for 6 months. Works out at about £3 odd per working day. Can't grumble at that really.
Don't forget to add a portion of your water meter bill to your expenses.i put down £30 per month for mine as I'm on a meter too (but DI only.)How much do you guys put down for washing cloths and workclothes per year?I put £60 a year which I think is the most you can claim for.
