Just wondering, does anyone charge way over what would be seen as the average for their area ?

Thinking about investing some money into advertising/marketting this year, whether that be leaflets, canvassers or online ads.

kind of been the same prices forever now, i have put prices up every couple of years in general but only £1 here and there. My average price is £13 for a 3 bed semi i would like to get that up to  £16 or more. Thats a lot for my area my conversion rate is already around 50% of leads at current pricing so just wondering whether ill be throwing money away getting not a lot of conversions. 

Want to reduce my hours on the glass to do something else but dont want to sacrifice much income, less hours same money is the idea.

I have quite a few commercial jobs that are waaaay overpriced. It’s possible to get these by being a bit more professional than the competition when quoting imo. Best type of work for this is small/medium occupier owned offices on business parks, I love this type of work.

That's Stoots perception - basically Deere has it spot on - I have some incredible priced commercial cleans and P/W and graffiti removal/gutter clearing are way, way better than domestic

pricing around here is similar to yours I would say - there are a couple who charge more than me (long time locals) but most are less - I get a price im happy with (90% of the time) but then I like to keep my work, get to do add on jobs - so that £15 semi usually coughs up between £100 and £400 in other services - ( and ive always loved s/f/g work etc.. )

I'd say average its probably about a tenner. It's hard to say I don't know every ones prices but I know a few local cleaners and just from giving out lots of quotes tells me I'm already at the top end of average.  most of them I  know are in the 8 to 12 quid bracket and there's still the trad guys kicking about even lower than that.

We're the most expensive in our area.

Why's that? Because when I was a window cleaning customer I didn't give a toss about the price. I cared that they were done regularly and well. So I assumed there were others like me.

People obsess about price but if price were the only factor we'd all be driving Kia Picantos.

I’ll Second that the majority of my customers put quality first with regular/reliable service a close second

If your professional and reliable, most customers wouldnt careless about a £2 or £3 difference imho.
I have a minimum price  of £15 (thats it) i have a couple of old ones that are £12.50 kept these going as they are close together and only take me 10 mins each.
Personally i think you have a to have a minimum, do you really want all the little jobs anyway? unless they are right next to another one your just chasing around all day for not a lot of money sometimes!

Yes been down this rabbit hole  priced up several flats at £7 each - then after a few months your down to just 2 and they become a pita - so now it’s a min of £12
