I remember hearing that the grammatical errors and stupidity of the messages in scams are features, not bugs. They want to weed out anyone who thinks it's off because they would be dead leads - people who would twig it was a scam a little further down the line after wasting the scammers time for a few messages. They want prize morons, hence the bad gramma, errors and outrageous claims, they weed out anyone with half a brain.
