Thankfully i still think the vast majority of long standing customers are loyal but i think that loyalty is much harder to establish with newer work. Part of that i believe is that window cleaning has cleaned up its image a hell of a lot since i started 19 yrs ago. Lets be honest, back in the day we were considered as a dodgy lot, cash in hand, scruffy, ladders on the roof of a knackered out car, ex cons, etc not particularly well thought of at all so when we had gained a customers trust, they wanted to keep us as they were a bit concerned who the alternative might be. These days, its sign written vans, uptodate wfp techniques , uniforms etc and we're seen as a much more professional profession. As such, price becomes more relevant, people more happy than they used to be to change wc. Just shows what a load of gonads perception is as the same dodgy people cleaning windows 20yrs ago are still doing it now but just look a bit smarter and probably still as dodgy. When i think back over the years, the most untrustworthy outfits locally had the newest and smartest vans etc
