Windows cleaned today note
« on: July 01, 2023, 02:56:02 pm »
Just wondered what sources and prices people are using for your "windows were cleaned today" slips?  I've always had my own word document which I take somewhere local, I supply the paper (160gram) and  then get photocopied. Less than a year ago, I was getting charged 5p per sheet, recently this went up to 12p,but went today and they now want 50p per sheet, stating they were previously charging less than cost price. I get 5 slips per sheet so 10p per slip plus the price of the paper, so say 11p per slip. How does that compare?

I print my own. 5 to an A4 sheet. 80gsm bright yellow paper. Why are you getting them printed?

Ive got an HP home printer which drinks ink, so photocopying was a much cheaper option at 5p a sheet, at 50p it might not be, , i'll have to put in a new cartridge and see how many i get.

I get mine printed as single sided A6 leaflets.

Last time I got some I paid £60 for 10k of them.

I'm sure prices will have increased but even at £100 it's a penny a slip.

You can get a four or five cartridge printer from Brother or Canon for £100. Use compatible cartridges - cheap as chips.

I just text them. No chance of the slip being lost and a record they’ve had it. No mobile, use someone else.

You can buy 5,000 business cards for around 1.5p each (and that's without looking too hard)

I use Solopress, can't remember how much, but very reasonable and very quick.
I'm about to get some more slips printed (DL size) and I'll put all my extra services on the back.

I did this before, I got 2,000 (compliment slip sized) slips printed; on one side was
Your windows were cleaned today blah blah blah
and on the other side I listed all my services, fsg, gutter clearing, connys, pressure washing etc etc all with images. It got me quite a lot of extra work, that I may not have got otherwise.
Nowadays the only extra I want to do is pressure washing, so the back of the leaflet will be devoted to before and after pics of pressure washing etc.
