Tough first cleans
« on: June 24, 2023, 10:52:04 am »
Had a new customer yesterday.

4 bedroom, detached house, but not that much to it.

Windows were absolutely horrible.

Loads of pigeon mess.

Took me an hour and twenty minutes! Had to reclean most of them after the first go. Loads of blade work.

Windows looked fantastic when I had finished.

I text the customer later to see if she was happy. Her response: "Yeah its alright". You cant win.

Fortunately I had priced it just about right.

Will take 20 minutes on the regular 8 weekly frequency so thats a positive.

Hope then she doesn't cancel😀

Birds muck wouldn't budge with just the pole.

Then after scraping them and repoling I checked them and there was stuff I'd missed. Smaller bits. It was a headache.

Odds on that she cancels before the next clean.

Notice a lot more houses going up for sale lately. Wonder if it's tied in with people stretching their mortgage payments.  Can see a lot of people trying to sell up when they come off their old fixed rate mortgage deals in the next few months.

My area has always had shed loads of people selling their houses . Having a high interest rate isn’t necessarily going to make someone sell their house though , they can remortgage on to an interest only option or extend their term to make it cheaper- what’s the alternative? Sell their house and rent??

Pidgin poo is easy to remove  it’s seagull poo that’s oily that’s more difficult, try a light rub with the pole first and wet it up move onto the next window and do the same then go back to the first window , or just get a decent hot water system and it comes off straight away
