Best transfer hose
« on: May 18, 2023, 06:42:02 pm »
Anybody got any suggestions for a decent transfer hose?
Been using Tufflex and it’s useless.
Tried using connectors when it sprung a leak and it just bursts somewhere else.
Garage very wet😂
Given up trying to repair it and need to replace it.
Hose is from the garage IBC to the van tank, about 10 metre’s required.
Thanks.

I have the yellow bendy one from Pure Freedom but the best one is the more less flexible green and white ringed version.

I now just use the black corrugated pond hose.

I find it’s way more flexible and lasts just as long as the thicker more expensive stuff.

Just “coil” it up as you walk to the van and back, don’t drag it along the ground as this is what causes leaks. Mine must be 3 years old now and it’s only just developed a small pin hole leak.

That’s the one it’s hard wearing I had a split in it but after years of use gets used to the way it’s coiled up.

Thanks guys, appreciated.
Just ordered the hose from Machine  Mart.
In fairness I may have been at fault dragging the hose back to the garage🙊!
Hopefully all sorted now, relief, it’s like the fountains in Trafalgar Square!
