Glue for Loose gooseneck??
« on: July 24, 2006, 05:09:36 pm »
The gooseneck on my 18ft glass fibre pole is loose and swivels around if i have it at an angle.
I am thinking of using superglue or similar to get it secure again.
Will this or any particular glue be ok to bond fibreglass and aluminium or will it do any damage?
cheers

can you not use plumb tape round it, would give it a tight fit, plus its water proof, you need to watch what glues you use, if you have to take it back of, or would a hose clip not tighten it,

you need a epoxy glue. anything like araldite, or b+qdo a good one its a rapid dry version and is useable after 1/2 hour

Hi Mark,

you need two-pack epoxy resin, give us a call if you need some.
