Hi there,

Do's:

Take your time.
Change over customers in blocks.
Clean frames first then glass.
Make sure you RINSE thoroughly.
Check your TDS reading daily.
Keep on top of resin and flushing out RO units.
Keep a few spares, pressure switches, connectors etc....

Dont's:

Rush.
Clean the vents above windows.
Hold back with water when rinsing.
Expect no call backs initially.
Try to run before you can walk

Otherwise,

good luck,

NEVER,NEVER use water straight from the tap.

Pure water ALL the time.

The theory is:

Wash and brush the dirt free.
Then RINCE of thoruoghly to leave ONLY PURE water to dry mark free.

Just a case of misinterpretation.
"Don't....hold back with water when rinsing" = use plenty water when rinsing.

Don't

Put your brush on the gooseneck upside down & work with it like that for three days & only realise when you go to do your three storey hotel & you can only clean half of the top windows. ;) ;)

Do

Carry a pair of snipe nose pliers if the flippin tube comes off the brush & appears at your feet. >:( >:(

Do

Have thick skin when the said hotel moans at you cos the windows aren't spotless first time around even though you did warn them that maybe the case ??? ???

Oh & don't travel 60 miles to pick up an IBC tank (cos it's cheap) get there & find out the only way you can fit it in your van is by taking off the metal cage, bring it back, put it in your garage & try to put more than 500 litres in it & discover it starts to look like John Merrick's twin brother .

As you can tell I've had better days :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

Don't think in winter (or anytime other than nice warm sunny weather) that you won't get wet and cold. You will.

Buy decent water proofs that are practicle to wear before summer ends or the prices will rocket by the time you realise the truth of what I'm saying.

The nice picture portrayed by some wfp companies of some one standing at a nice angle to the pole do happen from time to time but just wait untill you are doing windows in a restricted space (like between two houses up an alley way) and the water not only goes back down the pole and up your sleeves, but rains down on top of you also.

Some days last winter I sat in the van with the heaters full on dreading the next job because I was unprepared for getting soaked.

guys I found in the same situation above that water ran down the pole and after fitting a small goose neck and have the brush head at an angle the water running down the pole stopped hope this helps
