Just take a slight financial hit. It’s no big deal. I’m not hand to mouth & don’t work weekends to make up for it either. Most customers really aren’t bothered if you’re a bit late & if they are then they’re not for me. The weather all evens out in the end. At least it has in my 31 years window cleaning.
I employ one person but we don’t work in the rain. One man per van. We dodge showers & I may send him out to clean some fsg’s or insides if we have any. I save these for the rainy days as it helps cushion the financial hit. It’s very rare it rains all day though. I rarely clean fsg’s or insides myself. I can’t stand them even if some are well paid. I just go home if the weather’s that bad. Sometimes I’ll let him go early. It’s no fun & not good for his morale cleaning fsg’s all day in the rain, even with waterproofs. Some people just don’t see the bigger picture. The good days far outweigh the bad.I’m in the south west by the way.

Most people have a life Daz😁 Have kids, grandkids, wives, property and gardens to look after and maintain. These people will mostly value time above money and thus view these days as a blessing. Get some more hobbies or take on some real world adult responsibilities outside your own wee bubble and you might, just might 'get it'!😄

Why’s he leaving so soon?
I’m guessing it would only be a problem if you’re stacked with work. I only work a 4 day week 8.30 - 3.00 so there’s always plenty of time to get caught up for days lost to wet weather. I don’t lose any income by not working in the rain, if I am a day or two late on a 4 weekly cycle, I just clean it a day or two early the following cycle.

I rather work in rain and having a sunny day off.I like to have days off that I choose. If I'm forced to have a day off due to weather then I'll be pacing about the house cursing it.
