I used to be a firefighter, never heard of a licence for fuel. Station was super rural, surrounded by farms.Maybe it’s a new thing? We had a compressed air foam pump, on a sprinter to deal with that sort of thing. Lots of lanes you couldn’t get a rescue pump down.
Stupid idea imo.
Are u guna be able to purchase your diesel at a much better rate than the forecourt, like a serious discount to make it worth this hassle… I spend about a grand a month on fuel and I just use Asda as they are pretty much cheapest on the high street ( not including Costco which is retailing it about 13p a litre cheaper than Asda ) Don’t shoot me down if am a penny out it was 1.49.9 a litre the other week and Asda was 167.7 Any who’s I don’t have a unit and don’t want one but if I was in ur situation I would consider what ur wanting to do, next time u see a farmer ask him the question …..This might be right up your street mate EBay item number 134503721961Thank me later on 👍
I would expect you would need a bunded tank for storing the fuel. It might save a bit of time with a few vans running but I would expect there would be a decent set up cost. Tank. Bund. Base. If gravity feed a raised base. Level indicators. Hoses with auto shut off. We are paying £1.41 this week on the fuel card.
