This is one of those 'how long is a bit of string' questions.

I reckon an average trad window cleaner, with a compact round, should be to clean three average semi-detached houses per hour and be able to maintain that speed with the exception of breaks, lunch or driving-between-jobs.

That would work out to 15 to 20 houses per day.

How much you charge for each property depends on you and your area.

My standard semi-detached house that I charge is £8.50.  Why?  Because there's still plenty of guys round here charging £6 or £7 for the same job and I doubt I could get higher.

I have had some minor resistance to the £8.50, but very few refusals.

If you only worked 30 hours a week you'd be on £900 a week, over 46k per year.

At times we can all bang out good money in an hour, but what counts is the balence book at the end of the year, not many working by themselves will earn over 40k, it can be done of course, but not many will do that kind of turnover.

Tosh is right though, you should be able to chunter through an average of 3 semi's an hour.

I'll bet if you stopwatched him without him knowing he would take longer than that, not saying such speed can't be acheived, but with an average semi having 12 windows, he is taking less than 30 seconds per window, including moving the ladder and so on...not a chance, 10 houses an hour?? your having a laugh

What you charge per house will vary depending on what part of the country you live in, and there are huge variations nationwide...

I used to earn about £150 a day trad, but that was going like a nutter, average 3 bed semi here is about £5.

I know one guy who done over £200 in a day trad/residential but that was 10hrs and he is speedy gonzalez up and down the ladder (literally RUNS up and down ladders.

The thread has nothing to do with wfp, you've only posted twice, and both are anti wfp you grumpy old ginger whinger!

All the guy wanted to know was how much you manage to do and how much you could earn..You could've given a bit of guidance in principle.

Now he reall thinks you are Victor Meldrew!  He'll be going round telling all his mates that Victor Meldrew really does post on CIU.  They won't believe him, but he'll tell them it must be him!  He's so totally negative before he starts

I'm currently cleaning between 10-15 houses a day. 15 being a really good day working from 8am till around 4.30-5pm.

I do however clean the frames, sills and wipe the edges of the panes to keep the customers happy. 

Average house price is around £12, so providing you can find enough customers to keep you working it pays pretty well.
