No, you need the 9.1kw heater. The 5kw version is not enough to make an appreciable difference. Also the company you are looking at does not seem to provide a cabinet to house the components..

I think you need to be good at diy to fit one yourself.

........... or all the hoses and fittings to put everything together. And added to that is which wires to discard for a window cleaning application from the wiring harness.

I'm currently looking a diesel heater too. What temp does yours get up to daz? I contacted a supplier and said Thier heater only put out water 30-40degree which would probably drop more it Travels along house. Have you any links for Thermo pro heater? TIA

65-70c at brush end with hose on the reel...too hot to keep my hand under it.less with hose out on a cold day.

In summer even hotter..I have to turn it off on the really warm days as its too hot to even hold the hose by lunchtime!

Mines a 9kw thermo Pro 90
price higher/work harder!

I have the Grippa 2 man heater and like Daz I can’t understand all this 30-40 degree business, mine is also too hot to hold your hand underneath for more than a few seconds with 100 meters out and 40ft of pole hose.

The reality is that a single operator can run the diesel heater hotter. If you have two operators both using hot water, you won't get steaming hot water.

I have 2 reels and 1 of them is slightly hotter than the other,I’ve had a 5kw and it was more than sufficient especially if you return to tank between jobs but the 9kw with a single user should and does give me very hot water. If 40 degrees is not being able to hold hand under it then I’m getting 40 degrees lol, obviously it drops with the more hose out but with 20-30 meters out I’m getting 60 degrees measured with a TDS meter with temp feature.
I would always go for the 2 man though like I say hotter water with an option for 2 people working with it,the same goes for system in general far better to have it all setup for 2 people even if you are on your own if something goes wrong you have a spare reel-pump and the option to have help when you want from that van.

I agree with the above comments I have the Grippatank 9 kw two man set up and regularly have 60-70 degrees at  the brush head obviously on a freezing cold day with 100 meters of hose out it’s less but still makes a big difference to the clean , also have 3 Ionic’s thermopures in other vans and they get Evan hotter as it’s only one heat exchanger not two , ware in the country are you ? You are welcome to look and use ours if near Cornwall to try it out .

Wayne,

Unless you are very good at diy it will be difficult fit it all yourself  ime very mechanical minded and could do it but it’s much easier to have it all fitted into a cabinet neat and tidy

Thanks for the offer but I'm in Northern Ireland. Will give them a ring on Monday and ask about it again, could be in winter with hose out full length and just covering themselves.
