I still can’t bring myself to shell out for an ultimate pole. I clean some apartments once a month that require my xtreme 47 plus one modular extension. It’s doable, but not exactly enjoyable.

I also clean a large apartment block twice yearly that needs the 47 plus two modular seditions, borderline horrible, but very good money.

So, is the ultimate 46, with my modular sections worth it? Could go for the 63, but that’s a big price difference considering I could just use the 46 with one modular extension for the monthly job.

I’m put off by the weight, I’ve never used one, but they are listed as pretty darn heavy.

I’ve got the same dilemma at the moment. Currently using the SuperMax 50 3k and it’s horrible at full height.

I’ve just taken on 4 quarterly jobs where I need an extra 6-8ft of reach but the ultimates are  pricey.

They’re so expensive! Which ordinarily wouldn’t really be a problem, but we’re still renovating the house, and I’ve been reluctant to shell out 3 grand, unless it’s genuinely going to make a big difference! After all I’ve been using the xtreme for years on these jobs.

But… I’m always open to easier ways of working.

Splash & dash uses them and rates them very highly.

I use the Extreme 47 with with triple extension pack (10,11,12)it's bouncy but workable.It's not used fully much.

If you do this work(60ft)then the ultimate is meant to be a much better and stiffer pole but this comes at a cost in money and weight.

If there is nothing wrong with your existing pole stick with it. Unless  your working at 70 + feet it's not worth it..

I’ve been thinking about this and tbh I would definitely go for the slightly heavier pole cost aside,at that height I don’t really think you’ll be bothered as it will feel far more stable and wouldn’t notice much.
I have a 35ft  Extreme and at full extension unless it’s a force 0 wind it whips about all over the place,there’s a reason why the other pole is more money I could see that on the video I watched on that other more expensive pole.

We have 3 of them all with extra sections to take it up to 73 feet it’s a much better pole than the extreame it’s heavier but far less bend , and much better in a bit of wind , and the ware rate is virtually zero I bought one of the first ones when they first came out and it’s used every week and still has not got  any ware marks on the sections at all I think that might be down to the Kevlar content , obviously they are expensive and you need the work to justify it but if you can afford it it’s 10x better than an extreame 47 with extra sections I found the bend on it at fully extended it touched the building half way up and with extensions up to 65 feet was virtually unusable  you could not get any accuracy on the window what’s so ever .
As a side point ime very suppprised that one’s are commenting on the price as theses ones are always saying how much they earn before breakfast but cannot afford £1,500-3,000 for a pole , come on if you are earning what you say you are the pole is a very cheap investment.

We have two of them use them every day as most of our work is blocks of flats, if you have the work for them there worth every penny

I went with Reach it ultra high modulous pole 32ft length pole with two twin telescopic/modular sections which are also ultra high modulous at 11ft each so a total of 54 ft. Very rigid pole with  a much smaller diameter base section. I went with this as I wanted a smaller base section at height and a very rigid pole. Think it  was about £1500 but they have gone up past £2k now. I work high level all the way around and strip off sections as I come down the buildings for lightness to reduce strain.

I don’t like modular poles but the sl2 was a very lite and ridged pole but no good at all in wind , they don’t seam to be very popular now but we’re a good pole . I know you didn’t say modular poles but high modular carbon reach it poles ,

I like using them as it keeps the base diameter much smaller (the equivalent of using a Gardiner 40ft pole if comparing base diameters for 54ft but only require 49ft so I leave the last section off the main pole so it's like using a 35ft pole comparing the base section diameter which is so much more comfortable to use.

I tried using them brackets Gardiner came out with for the ultimate pole on a 45ft pole but couldn't get on with it.

Yes I couldn’t get on with the handles either , what do you find the reach it poles  like for weight and rigidity  ?.

 I don't buy their products for free gimmicks, I buy their equipment because it works like it says on the tin, no nonsense, it just works for me and I'm happy with their poles and their brushes.

I would never go back to a stock brush in a million years! Reach-it's ultra high poles are very rigid. The clamps aren't the best but I took the top five off and replaced them with Unger clamps, it works fine, no problems. Best of both worlds.

At 50ft use, I would compare it to using a 35ft pole borderline 40ft pole weight comparison wise. It's still got a nice weight to it and can't fault the rigidity of the pole, very good. The main reason I use it is simply because it allows me to grip the smaller base section  with more ease because it's not so much about holding the weight whilst working but putting a strain on the fingers trying to hold a wide base section as some of the places I work get quite whippy in the wind and have a strong grip on the pole is important to me.
