Depends on your price doesn't it.
I know this is window cleaning but if I quote say 12 quid for 3 bed semi I get about 70 percent
If I quote 15 quid that drops to about 20 to 30 percent.
Since new year I've been quoting higher prices and noticing a huge drop off in conversion rate.
with gutters and connys etc I get next to none maybe 20 percent. No one wants to pay 50/60 quid an hour to do those services so I prefer to stick to window cleaning
there is the market for your area - £12 at 70% is spot on
if you were getting 90%+ you would be to cheap
and you can see at £15 your not getting many conversions, so thats to pricey for your area OR your not offering a good enough service to stand out from the crowd.
As for gutters and cones - I get the impression you hate them - if thats the impression I get what do you think a potential customer will assume ?

I agree and everyone needs to find their own market rate and adjust their prices based purely on the amount of conversions they need or would like.
If you has a slick website, branding and really knew how to sell your service you could no doubt increase the price a bit its all about perceived value and finding the right customers of course.
As for gutters and connys I don't hate them if I can get the right price where it means I can take my time, but lets say a full fsg job is going to take me 3 hours I want £200. Window cleaning rate plus a bit more for the extra pain I'm going to endure on my shoulders. Problem is converting at that price is almost zero. I've tried with fsg, gutters, pressure washing etc to domestic houses in my area on many occasions and they just won't pay what I want in general which is why I don't bother anymore. I've done plenty of underpriced ones in the past to get the job and thats where the hatred comes in.
